11Alive Community Service Awards

WXIA-TV NBC News Affiliate - Atlanta,GA

2015 marks the 40th anniversary of the 11Alive Community Service Awards. The 11Alive Community Service Awards began in 1975 as a way to annually honor persons who had contributed significantly to their communities. The program honors 11Who Care, eleven outstanding local volunteers who have demonstrated selfless devotion for the betterment of the community.

11Alive News Anchors Brenda Wood and DeMarco Morgan will host the 40th annual 11Alive Community Service Awards black tie dinner and awards show taping on Thursday, April 30, 2015 at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis Hotel. Dinner Chairs for the black tie event are Arthur M. Blank and Kevin Rathbun.

In addition to honoring 11Who Care, each year the program salutes non-profits in the community by naming them the beneficiaries of the proceeds of the dinner each year. This year, our beneficiary is Atlanta Community Food Bank. For more information on the Food Bank, visit www.acfb.org.
